He further expanded his leadership as a director at the Chaimerblains Group in Pretoria, where he spent five years overseeing high-profile timber and hardware projects.

Building on his extensive expertise, Sjoerd successfully founded and operated S & SB Renovations, a thriving general contracting, building, and shopfitting business. Over more than a decade, he grew the company into a reputable brand celebrated for its impeccable workmanship and client-focused approach before selling it to embark on new ventures.

After a brief retirement, Sjoerd’s passion for craftsmanship led him to join DM Shopfitters, where he served as a lead shopfitter until 2025. During this time, he contributed to numerous sophisticated retail and commercial projects, leaving a lasting mark with his meticulous attention to detail and refined aesthetic sensibility.
